I have never had a plant more attractive to butterflies than the Mexican Sunflower. I thought for several years that Lantana was the best at attracting them, and it does seem to attract more of the swallow tails. But in general the Mexican Sunflower is just tops for butterflies here. I was just out cleaning mine up, it seems the limbs got so heavy with blooms they were all breaking off right at the stalk.
