Because this was the last opportunity to order from Bill, I ordered some things that I probably wouldn't have otherwise (at least one of the three has WCRU in the background, thus I confess that I broke my vow to myself there *Blush* ). I am steeling myself for rust susceptibility in all of them, for various parental reasons. (I will be thrilled and delighted if that turns out not to be the case.)

However, and that said... I have off and on again been on a search for oranges; everything orange here has had some rust except 'Heavenly Dragon Fire' (which has mud), and Bill's 'Pleated Pumpkin' (which thus far has been promising but it needs a few more years to be certain). These two oranges of Bill's looked appealing to me (the first has an H.M. so there's some assurance of performance there, plus it is taller (which I like)), and I have a resistant plant or two I can use with them in crosses. (I also confess to the lure of the names on these two oranges.)

I have no good excuse for ordering 'Velvet Dreams' *Blush* , but again... I have a resistant plant or two I can mate it with.

(I should slap myself... and not with a wet noodle...)

Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
