Thumb of 2016-09-13/shizen/16d235 hydrangea 'musume' (commercially mispelled as mousmee).

Thumb of 2016-09-13/shizen/68abe1 hydrangea serrata 'miyama yae-murasaki' photo taken at the same time as other two.

Thumb of 2016-09-13/shizen/e283c1 'ayesha' photo taken summer 2016; cutting taken from my previous residence 2003 moved from zone 8b to zone 10a

shows that these plants have tolerated much, and the water here is awful for plants and humans. it is saltier and more alkaline. if i want my hydrangeas to 'blue' up (no pun intended) i have to use a lot of acidifier, and have to be careful about burning the plants. i use a lot of coffee grounds as well, from friends and sometimes coffee houses.
