Just cut down an old tree, want to plant bulbs around the base but not sure what would be the easiest to grow.... Normally a pretty simple answer I'm sure, but my concern is that the tangled root system from the old tree may inhibit the growth of bulbs, so I want to select the right flowering bulb for this situation. Any recommendations?

Thank You!
