I was adding my homemade (knife) plant markers to the pots of new daylilies and noticed that Thomas Tew has a new scape emerging from within the foliage. It had a big, thick half scape (that had been cut) when I received it. I was impressed with the thickness of that remaining half of the scape. This new scape is coming up right next to that old scape. (I easily removed the old scape remains.)
So it looks like I get to see re-blooms on Thomas Tew!!! Excited to see brand new blooms. Last year when I got my very first order from Maryott's, I had 2 of my favorite cultivars bloom soon after receiving them. I don't know what Bill does to them to get them to often bloom at their new homes in the Fall, but it is always a very welcome surprise!!!
Thank you, Bill! (If you are ever reading this thread.)
