It should still be able to do desktop. One article I saw just now said select options and then choose "desktop view" but that might be an older version than yours. In Chrome you just select the threee dots top right and then choose Request Desktop Site from the list.

Suzanne, as far as I recall selecting desktop didn't seem to do much on my iPod but it did make a difference on the Android.
