Beautiful fall roses, everyone!
I do not hybridise roses, but all your lovely pictures inspired me to venture out in my garden, in the rain, and take some shots of the few roses still braving the wet and cold.
Still barely alive, but at least it now has a few leaves to accompany the blooms:
Rosa 'Purple Tiger' (aka JACpurr, Impressionist)
This is an amazing grower and bloomer, unfortunately the flowers are heavy and tend to droop, especially in the rain, but it has a nice, clean rose scent:
Rosa 'Kosmos Fairy Tale' (aka KORpriggos, Brindisi)
Hopefully, this one will make it before the first frost:
Rosa 'Schloss Eutin Fairy Tale' (aka KORbrespo, Betty Cuthbert)
The only rose in our garden that my DH got to pick
but a really good choice, it grows well and blooms like crazy, it has no smell, but the blooms last for months:
Grand Award Courtyard (Poulcy014)
Another good grower:
Rosa 'Pascali' (aka LENip, Blanche Pasca)
One of the original roses from my grandfather's garden. It is older than I am and while its sister died from old age a couple of years ago, this one still hangs on and even puts out blooms all summer and well into fall. It smells like rose soap:
Rosa 'New Dawn' (aka Everblooming Dr. W. Van Fleet, The New Dawn)
