I have posted about my persian shields in the past. 2 months ago I propagated 10 pieces of Persian shields from a very large one I had grown over the summer. I had 2 of them and wow they were awesome! Beautiful purple silver! I loved then so after I propagated them almost everyone of them rooted in plain water for me. I ended up with 8 rooted pieces they were perfect roots inches of them. So right before i had planted them we had a few cool nights and i took all my plants in and this was a problem, to make a long story short I had the persian shields in vases sitting inside a empty fish tank and rhey were getting light from a window and a light close by that way for another plant but the persian shields gir light from it too and that all work great. Then the problem cane I left rhem inside rhe fish tank kn a stand infront of a window for 2 day on the 3 morning I went to move them and noticed the persian shields had very black patches on tbier leaves all of them!!!! So i panicked and i planted them thinking idk what! Uh abd everyone of rhem rooted!!!!! Then they slowly started to die as the leaves were turning more black! This evwing i trashed the last 2 pieces and i cant tell you all how upset I am! I know they were all gonna be great plants by spring !
So was it lack of air in the fush tank?? Thats what I thought it was and after rooting rhe leaves still couldnt get proper air through them??? These are my guesses as to what happened. ..
Id really like to know what everyone else thinks. ...
