During our recent garage sale, I made the mistake of visiting my neighbor to see how her sales were going. She was ridding herself of so much household stuff that was her mother's and her Ex who both live in Assisted Living. She asked me to take for free anything I wanted. I told her I was trying to get rid of my own stuff. "No thank you~ "But then she handed me a never-used, beautiful, flowery, very heavy, HEAVY bundt cake pan. "Here," she says, "You bake delicious cakes!". Hahahaha
She got half of my near-disaster, first cake. Little did she know how much help I had from
@Missingrosie and everyone else on here when I baked and nearly failed my first poundcake!
I have baked one more pound cake, the rest is in the freezer. But I have eaten other cakes at work and Everything Bundt Cakes store. So the craving has been fed, as well as my waistline. But I had the inkling to buy 4lbs of butter at Costco the other day. My Other Self must have plans!
