We start our caladium inside. This allows us to have almost instant color when the weather starts to warm up. Caladium won't sprout unless the ground temp is above 70 degrees.

I've been starting them in large pans of potting mix and then potting them up in 1 gallon or smaller containers. The containers allow us to move things around to achieve the best looks.
