I had a lot of trug tubs of soil, since I dug down 10 inches (I always have lots of trug tubs on hand). Good thing I thought to do that ahead of time. Hope you have something you can store your soil in ahead of time. How many bulbs are you expecting?

Read your post and I wanted to help you out. We already have frozen ground here with the arrival of cold temps and looks like our lows are going to be unseasonably low this coming week also.

I wasn't able to plant bulbs this fall, as I usually do, but I hope to plant them next fall.

I only have a few more coming (less than 20) and I always have 5 gallon buckets around. I just haven't decided where exactly I a putting them. I got the confirmation they should be here this coming week so I think I'll take my chances and plant them Thanksgiving weekend and it is supposed to warm up a bit
Do you mind if I ask which part of Northern KY you are in? My DD lives in Crescent Springs (Villa Hills) just off Buttermilk. She mentioned yesterday it will get colder this week. It's such a pretty area. (If I asked before I'm sorry - brain overload not old age nodding nodding nodding )
