Hi all! I have a bunch of daylilies that I've dug up in mid September and literally could not find the time to plant them in their new locations. I've kept them healthy, and now I'm in a conundrum as to what method to use for overwintering.

Our weather went from a high of 74 last Friday to 3 inches of snow last Saturday, and high winds gusting to 40mph for 48 hours on Saturday and Sunday! The ground isn't to the freezing point yet bc it melted immediately on concrete surfaces. There's still some snow today, except a very thin layer remains in shaded areas (blotchy grass and snow). We're now in consistent at/near/below freezing temps at night. This week, highs around 40 until Thursday when the highs will rise to the mid to upper 40's through Sunday at least.

I'm a home gardener with very little money and no greenhouse. I need advice whether I should plant or heal them in out in the gardens or overwinter them indoors. If indoors is the better option, please advise as to how to do that without potting them up. (Potting them is not an option bc I have a very brown thumb for indoor plants! Sad )
Thanks!
