springcolor said:I know this is an old thread but I bought this with a tag saying good to zone 7? Any one test this for hardiness? We went down to about 22 last night. I did take cuttings. However, added this to a clients yard so I maybe replacing, it's near the foundation of the house so maybe safe. We do periodically get to 15 degrees in the winter.

@springcolor Julia

Rick Corey stated (in a comment on the Limelight db) that Richard F. Dufresne gives the hardiness zone as zone 8, so maybe that really is the hardiness of this salvia. (might be zone 7 with protection)

The thread "Mexican Sage "Limelight"" in Comment concerning Mexican Sage (Salvia mexicana 'Limelight')

When I grew it one year, it didn't even start blooming for me before frost/freeze arrived. and I haven't grown it again.

Hope the plant sprouts up next year. Crossing Fingers!
