Yes Betja, I did send him a copy of the picture. I told him that the flower itself is just beautiful, it's just not pink as in the picture. However, I do not plan on getting rid of it, quit the contrary. Yes, this is the very first time it bloomed. Actually, of all the plants that he sent me, this is the only one that has bloomed so far. I know that Annabelles Blush will be blooming soon, I can't wait to see what that one looks like. I guess all the others I'll have to wait until next year!
However, it will give my something to look forward to.
I also was unaware that the blues, pinks and some purples don't come out like in the pictures. I suspect I will see more examples of that as each plant blooms. I am kinda disappointed to hear that. There is a daylily I really like called Larry's Obsession. I guess I'll hold off on that one until I have an opportunity to see it person........hopefully...someday! Thanks for the heads up on the color differences, I'll keep that in mind before ordering. Good to know.
