Just now reading this thread, so for what it's worth, I'm using the galvanized labels with a paint pen. It's only been one year and they're still lookin' good, so I'm optimistic thus far... Thumbs up My philosophy is, "Do it right the first time, or don't do it at all". Not to say it's a foolproof philosophy... Whistling Whistling nodding nodding but my pet peave is redoing things....

Early on, I read on the AHS site, that to be chosen as an official AHS display garden, the labels require the correct daylily name, spelled correctly, too, and at least the Hybridizer's name (date is optional), for non-historic cultivars in AHS display gardens. Labels for historic cultivars (in AHS approved historic display gardens) must contain all of the above, including the date. When I jump in to something, it's with both feet, so I would like to have a display garden, but it's not even close yet... Glare Shrug!

So, my OCD evil twin decided to include the stat info on the back of the labels, for my sake, since I'm a bit of a rookie daylily nut, and in 2015, there were a couple of cultivars that bloomed before or after I expected. In other words, even though I find stats interesting, my memory stinks when it comes to stats D'Oh! D'Oh! (of any kind really Sad ). Not that it's life or death, but I figured that refreshing my memory on the stats of my daylilies, when necessary, right there in the garden, might be of service later on down the road, if (and that's a huge IF) I decide to dabble in hybridizing, while I'm still on this side of the daisies Big Grin ....or more belovingly (is that even a word?? Whistling ), the daylilies.... Whistling nodding nodding
