Is this thread really over 4 years old?

It still seems to me that the dips are somewhat more white than the tets, but I love the tets for their larger, more ruffled blooms. (On the downside, though, the tets also appear to be more prone to rust. Glare ) But even the soft coloration of the near-white tets works well in a white-themed (or Moon) garden.

Depending on what you view as "near-white", my current "stable" of near-white daylilies:

The Diploids

'Clarity of Purpose' is by far the clearest and whitest of these. 'Give Me Eight' normally does not look that yellow here. That image was taken on a rare, more humid day. 'May May' was just reacquired last year, but I mixed up some labels, so I have to wait for things to bloom to sort them out. Rolling my eyes. Finally, yesterday a box arrived from Oakes Daylilies, which (among other things) has the unregistered "Miss Amelia", which is supposedly near-white, at least from a distance. https://www.oakesdaylilies.com...

The Tetraploids

'Arctic Lace' has beautiful flowers, but it has sulked ever since I transplanted it a few years ago. 'Ballerina on Ice' is valuable for its early/early midseason bloom. 'December Wedding' is my current favorite of the tets; the blooms are beautiful and the plant appears to maybe have some rust resistance. The form on 'Snow Maiden' is not to my taste, and the substance is thin, but I'll give it another year. 'White Wolf' is beautiful, but it is prone to rust. 'Winter Wedding' is maybe the whitest of these, but it has some foliar disease problems and the bud count is not great. 'Wonder of It All' has some opening problems here, and the plant is prone to rust.

I have yet to see bloom on 'Arctic Elegance' (which thus far seems to have some rust resistance), 'Grand Pacific', 'Hazel Ballard', and 'White Perfection'. If anyone has reports on these, especially wrt rust, I'd appreciate it.

The Seedlings (Tets)

Yes, I know, more cream than white... the first one is an older seedling, which stays because it always opens well here. The second one had maiden bloom last season; I am anxiously looking for a scape this season.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
