So I checked on the daylilies today. They faired ok; a little ratty foliage, but good otherwise. Now the babies are another story. They were still in the seed trays, however, a lot of the seeds that hasn't germinated yet or were just starting to were washed out along with half of the potting mix in the holes. There are seeds all over the ground or 5-6 in some other hole. The babies that has leaves that were almost washed out I covered back up with potting mix. The seeds that were washed out I just left on the ground. I'm not even going to attempt to pick them all up. I wouldn't have a clue as to what they were anyway now. I didn't have my notebook with me to see what the crosses were; I hope they weren't some I was really looking forward to seeing bloom. I had 1872 planted and I'm not sure how many washed out. I'll just chalk it up as a lesson learned. Next year the seed trays will be at my place until it's time to plant. That way I can cover them up if there's a bad storm.
