And sounds different, too.

Last summer, when the cats had him surrounded, he was just abuzzin'. Sounded like a cicada... Except it was all a single frequency.

Let me know I wasn't hearing a cicada as I walked in from the garden...
The cicada notes rise and fall. Rattle snake buzz was all one pitch.

Higher and faster than the western diamondback.
