We live in a small town too but fortunately Lowes does carry it here. I'd be lost if they discontinued it, closest Home Depot is 40 min away. 
You can always buy the cement and add fibers and bonding agent but it's such a hassle. That's one of the reasons why I LOVE QuikWall, it's so easy!
