Ginny-- After some checking, and what Linda says she does, and just some cold weather general protection; I wonder if this might work. Rough up the ground, water the ground, sprinkle the seeds on top, keep moist, they germinate around 3 weeks, lightly cover with soil. In about 12 weeks there should be real leaves. Make a triangle or square around them with wood and fill with mulch or leaves for winter protection.
Maybe plant them in groups of 3 or 4 seeds?

May blessings surround you!
One to take to heart....1 John 4 ..............................................Where there is smoke...there is fire...in most cases the smoke will kill you long before the fire consumes you. Beware of smoke screens! Freedom is not free and when those who have not paid the price or made the sacrifice...think that only they are right and entitled to speak...they bring us tryanny.
