My mom had a wreath of pink feathers that she would hang on the front door every Christmas. Pink was her favorite color, so we had pink bathrooms, a pink kitchen, and my parents' bedroom was pink. (My father never once complained, but I could tell what he thought!) But I digress.

I've been collecting bird nests that have fallen out of trees after storms, with the thought of eventually working them into a wreath. Y'all have given me an idea about using feathers in that wreath. Now I'll have to keep an eye out for some feathers.

BTW I just read the other day that feathers on the market are in short supply. Seems that the latest fad is for women is to wear them in their hair. The men who use them to tie flies for fishing are not happy! Big Grin
