Description in 'Manuel of Bulb' from Royal Horicultural Society says squamigera "pale rose-pink flushed or veined lilac or purple".
" " 'Bulbs' by John Bryon says (of sprengeri) 'Flowers rose pink, somewhat purplish"; on squamigera it says "Similar to L. sprengeri, but flowers larger and more bluish pink".
Also, stem is measured at 18" for sprengeri and 24" for squamigera. Mine were pretty tall.
Thusly, my designation.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.
