Hello! I got unusually lucky last week and won a "glass" vase at an auction for $0.25. As it turns out this is 24% lead crystal vase that was made here in the USA. What a beautiful and significant find! Here's my question: the vase is actually two pieces. The top part sets inside of the bass. There is a half-dollar size hole in the bottom of the vase and the base has a knob protruding from it that somewhat blocks the hole but does not seal it, so it cant hold water. I've never seen one like this and I'm not sure of how to use it. Can anyone help me? Please forgive me if this is a silly question but even with all the coffee I have had I still can't wrap my mind around this.
