Prospero has always been one of my least favorite Austin roses. The blooms aren't big enough for my taste, the bush doesn't bloom enough for my taste, and the color has never excited me. It's supposed to be dark red, but it's always more bluish, but not the exciting bluish dark-red color of Tradescant.
Suddenly, though, it started doing this two-tone thing, and I love it! It's so garish!
