The generator ran nicely through the night and plant and fish are fine. Without it, we would have a disaster on our hands this morning. The power is still out.
I honestly find it amazing that years ago power outages never lasted more than hour, and I really don't ever remember problems like that in Winter. Nowadays we lose power on a sneeze and it is out for days. Are these connections are so fragile that one branch snaps the whole thing....Perhaps it would be nice if we quit sliding into third world country behavior and moved those power lines below ground.
