Ohh, I love the Cassia bloom too. What an interesting flower.
Regarding the generator - ours is wired into the electrical fuse box ( done by a certified electrician), but we start the generator and then throw the switches ourselves, not quite as fancy as Kathy's, but otherwise similar. We didn't wire the kitchen stove into that system, but all the other necessary stuff is. Living here in NJ, I was very grateful we didn't have to sit in the dark, had heat, TV, Internet etc. For sure, the fish appreciated it and so did the plants.
