I use this type of stake for individual stalks. If you have a big clump that needs it I use the fence units that I get at Fleet Farm (and other places). They are about 12 to 18 inches wide at the top and narrow to the bottom where there are two stakes that press into the ground. My clump of Lacy Snowflake usually needs five fence pieces to go around.
