Jamie, brrrr. Not fun when you know how long winter will be. Today and tomorrow might be our last nice ones, depending on which weather forecast is more accurate.

Yesterday I unloaded and spread our 1 1/4 cu ft pickup load of compost. We got it for the fruit trees. Putting it around the root zones, and letting the winter moisture carry it down to the roots. Had to guess where the feeder roots would be on our 100 year old trees. They were probably planted when the place was homesteaded, around 1900, or maybe before. The trunks have big hollow places. We are growing some replacements, but that takes time.

Margaret, tell us what you are doing up there on that roof.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
