I always like to grow fun fuzzy and/or scented things for kids (and adults) to enjoy. One of my favorite 'peanut butter' scented ones is melianthus, which is cool even for the great looking leaves.
and my other favorite to share is related to Lamb's Ears,
Stachys called Stachys coccinea 'Pow Wow'. Rub the fuzzy leaves and it smells just like 7-Up.
