Sounds real cute Robin...please post some pictures of these as they develop for you.....Sharon..I read through their web site.. and other articles.. and nowhere is there any mention of the trees..aside from the ways they dry them to prevent cracking... the have a book it seems awaiting the final chapter.... guess we'll have to await the self publishing of it..
some of them seem like cherry trees... the flowers on some.. and the dark bark with the horizontal lineing on it..

they claimed to never having seen any done before them... but Alex Erlandson as we know was in it from the 40's and was quite well published with pictures... all through that time.. they do intricately work it though.. as in the necklace above
