For any cross of two plants, it is always written as:

Pod (or Seed) Parent X Pollen Parent


If it is more complicated (i.e. using an unnamed seedling in a cross), you introduce parentheses (note the lower case "x" inside the parentheses). For example:

(1st Generation Pod Parent x 1st Generation Pollen Parent) X 2nd Generation Pollen Parent


As an aside, ideally all the hybrid "x" or "X" would be written using the multiplication symbol, but because that's not straightforward to reproduce on a normal keyboard (and may be an issue on various websites), the workaround using the upper and lowercase "x" was devised.
