although I would not recommend this for feeding humming birds .. I wrote a bad review that the paint inside the glass started coming off after a week.. after my review the company refunded my money even without me asking.. but for the price I think you can't beat it.. can remove the feeder tops or just put your cutting through the red top depending how fat your cutting is.. but I would not grow any edible cuttings in the thing.. sure it's made in china and lord knows what is in the paint that flakes off
