Regarding cannas, Red King Humbert variety. I have cannas growing in wide concrete containers in zone 7b. Would it be ok if at the end of this year`s growing season, remove them from the containers, trim them and transplant them in a full sun, raised bed rock garden location? I was thinking of instead of storing them indoors over winter just to plant them to in- ground with a heavy cover of mulch. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks !
