It was part of my plan. I wasn't sure how those colors would look in the setting sun, but it really doesn't change the colors much, only makes them sort of glow.

In the back I planted golds and yellows and reds for a different look in the setting sun. On the east side, I planted white shade plants. So yes, the sun plays a large part in my gardening plans. I like the way the light plays with colors and in turn creates moods.
