Evidently there's a fruit tree with the same issue in S. Africa - I think a bunch of the bush animals (giraffes? Elephants?) have the same experience. There's a youtube vid on it.

I wonder if I should put my feeders back up..... just in case. Why not?
In the end, only kindness matters.
