The dawgs and the plants are not a happy pairing. The dogs keep wanting to eat the plants, and I'm quite afraid that there has also been some 'territory marking'... thus the showers and the elevating of the plants, and the keep away spray...
Each year we have a 'Winter Solstice Party', sometime around the solstice (it's also a Christmas party, but as a gardener, I like to celebrate the solstices). We play poker and pool and eat and drink and socialize. I love it. I have a very diverse group of friends, and it's fun to get them all together.
