@cwhitt@ I checked the main big bulb (all other bulbs I cannot check, they are too much in the ground) , it is very hard and light green color.

I growing amaryllis for several years for now, it never got dormant, always were green leaves in the summer. Also I re-potted a big bulb from this lot in a separate pot, all leaves are green. Maybe this winter is different, it is much more rain that usual, and much more cold days and nights.
As I said before, we has a local strain here of this plant, that is different that you have in US. It will never bloom from the bulb (if you buy it, or have it from previous year) , it will first grow a lot of leaves and maybe bud then. You can never time it to specific day, it always bloom (if at all), between Feb to March) . And also grow bulb in a crazy speed (I had bulb of 1 inch in diameter that grew in 3 month to 1.5 inch in diameter during the local summer).
So loosing leaves it is strange for me.
P.S. here another example of a local speed growth. This is in a winter cold month, inside a home, near the window, no direct light. Leaves are about 10 inches long, almost a month after planting a dried bulb that I bought online (bulb is less that an inch in diameter).
