Below is a copy and paste of some advise dave gave me, and I had no problem after that. Hope this helps.

Could you resubmit the new plant proposal? You can entered in "Hudson Bay" as the common name, but the common name should read "Hosta" instead.
All together, the fields should be:
Common name: Hosta
Genus: Hosta
Species: (leave blank)
Cultivar: Hudson Bay
