Maybe you can tell me where you find good pictures with names that make's it easier to id the plants. If you find that more reliable,i'm not having a lot of luck the way I have been doing it!!!
I had to have a medical procedure done yesterday and am having another tomorrow. My lovely husband knows I love hoya's and that I have been wanting a purple waffle plant. He went to lowe's and found one of each. But they both came from EA nurseries and may be labeled wrong,I think. When I looked up the botanical name of the waffle it looked nothing like a purple waffle plant? They had it labeled hemigraphis alternata, but the pictures of purple waffle plants on-line where labeled Hemigraphis exotica.
The hoya is a hoya, but there are 200-300 different species, some are even succulents, they have different water, light etc... requirements.I'm having a hard time finding much on this one labeled (I am Hoya "Bilobata" then under that it's printed Hoya tsangii.I can find both and also this plant they call DS-70.Apparently 2 plants got the same name and there was a big mix up and they appointed this plant DS-70
for identification, but the other names are still being used.BIG MESS over a typo someone made in naming a plant!!! I'm going to jump over to the hoya thread & see what they know!!!
Thank you so much for the cuttings, nobody has ever sent me anything like that from anywhere before.Your a very nice person. If you see a picture of any of my plants,(i may not have anything you don't have) you want a cutting of let me know.I will put more pic's on my profile just check it every now and then.
MERRY CHRISTMAS Jo
