Well, I've had some success against the slugs. I am still not sure if spraying them works very well, they disappear and I don't know if they just left or died. However, putting a couple of inches of coffee grounds in the beds with the biggest problem has made a huge difference. The plants are growing again, I don't see the slime trails, it's wonderful.
