I'd love some, but I don't want to happen to you what happened to me. I really don't know how to divide it, since I lost mine. I thought dividing mine in half was ok, but she got all the 'growing half' and I got nothing.

Same thing happened to me with this neighbor on Salvia 'Blue Hill'! Crying Blinking Thumbs down Grumbling I had to go out and buy another Blue Hill, while she got another freebie!

This all happened years ago, I never did get another Purple Rain.

Found a link for you. Scroll down and it says, "The best time to divide perennial salvias is in early spring, before new growth begins."

I didn't divide mine before new growth started, so that could be the reason I lost mine.
