Including @Altheabyanothername on this as she asked the original question. Does anyone know if these 2 can be crossed?
Johnsonii is a hybrid cross of Hippeastrum reginae with Hippeastrum vitattum, but I am not sure what Christmas Gift is, except that it is a Dutch Hybrid (1987??). Per emaryllis.com: "Dating to as early as 1799, Hippeastrum x johnsonii is the oldest recorded Hippeastrum hybrid, and it still ranks as one of the hardiest for temperate gardens. A cross between the scarlet H. reginae and the white and red striped H. vittatum. Numerous variants of the hybrid seem to exist"
Does anyone know more about Christmas Gift and if these 2 can be crossed??? @Paul2032, @bsharf ??????? Either of you know anything???
