I have found soils that I liked not by going and looking to see what they have out for sale to customers, but rather by asking what they use themselves in the nursery. They have been willing to sell me a bag.

$50 sounds like a lot for potting mix, but that compressed bale expands to over 7 cu ft. That's a lot of soil. It lasts a long time.

I'm running low on ProMix myself. I potted up over 30 of my coleus to 4" square pots yesterday. That ate up a lot of my soil. I haven't started wintersowing yet, so I'm going to need to get more soil soon.
