Here it was also a salad dish and one of my favorites. Yet rather than my regular two Wednesday guests, just one tonight. We both enjoyed the fried calamari (rings and tentacles) atop a bed of mixed greens (baby spinach, arugula, and iceberg) with sliced pepperoncini and banana peppers and some diced cherry tomatoes. Italian dressing and fresh lemon. Pretty dish, and way tasty. Chardonnay was the wine of choice. It's a dinner I hope to return to often.
