Been thinking more on this, dangerous. Innocence and Pink Lady and, if I understand correctly, many others are NoID Iris which growers decide they can sell and therefor give a name. I could do the same w/my NoID siberian. There it's done, Iris 'I Don't Have A Name But Am Blue And Pretty And Know It'. Now local garden centers start selling my Iris 'Idhanbabapaki'.

Iris 'Idhanbabapaki' sells. Now other growers/garden centers see it selling. They realize it's not registered and have another pretty blue NoID sib and call this one Iris 'Idhanbabapaki' too. Now don't get me wrong, I love my Iris 'Idhanbabapaki'. She's been in the family for 3 generations, well actually 4. But ...
