I'd let them [spyder mites ] over take an ivy I had .....and then they got onto a blooming plumeria before I noticed them..... after a couple of spraying s of Judo on everything I don't seem to have them at all now.. that stuff works great.. they are about impossible to rid ones self of them... especially after they get a foot hold enough to engulf a plant... but I seem to have done so... the morning glories I have sprouting out inside are always the host for them... also... but I've been pulling them out as they emerge... this year.. although I do enjoy their winter flowers... just my clearodendrum blooming now inside.. and the dozens blooming in the cool room... with almost no light... but great humidity...[ 75% ] they would be so happy with 60 * F temperatures and high humidity... inside with 70's*F and great light ... they don't do nearly as well... now I'd buy a humidifier before supplementary lighting... they would get more out of it..
Yes Cherie... they like the tips the best... that's why they like the morning glories best... as there must be greater engery boost to the mites... eatting the juices from the fast growing tips of the plants
