Never liked the water method myself.. seemed the water got yucky quickly.. and didn't save me much time compared to watering.. and it is hard to get them to transition.. but adding water gels to the mix when you do will help .. do what works for you .. always worth a shot .. the one year I kept some in water.. and made new cuttings in mix when I was ready
