Yes you can root roses with Hormodin #3 but they root so easy you wouldn't need #3 which is more expensive. Instead you could go with Hormodin #1 or a basic cheap one at your local store. The #3 is more for hard to root cuttings. It is a powder, I have used several gels in the past and if you want the best of the best Dutchmaster Gold rooting gel is the best hormone I have ever used but is super pricy and hard to find.
