Has anybody ever tried to do any crosses with LA's? Are they fertile at all and if they do produce some seed do you have to do embryo rescue to grow them? Will Tetraploid asiatic pollen work?
I have this HUGE yellow LA (nameless of course, it was a broken bloom-less reject at the nursery) that stands about 4 feet and I wold like to try and breed with it but if it won't work I don't want to waste time and pollen on it.
Anybody recognize this cultivar?
