Susan's Almond Cherry Cheesecake reminds me of another recipe using Betty Crocker cookie mix.
Easy Caramel Apple Bars
1 pouch (1lb 1.5oz) Betty Crocker oatmeal cookie mix
1/2 C cold butter
1 egg
1 C finely chopped peeled apple
3/4 C caramel topping
1/4 C flour
Cut butter into cookie mix. Stir in egg until mixture is crumbly.
Save 1 1/2 C cookie mixture. Press rest of cookie mixture in bottom of greased 13x9 baking pan. Bake for 15 mins at 350.
Sprinkle apple over crust.
Mix caramel topping and flour.
Drizzle over apples.
Sprinkle rest of cookie mixture over apples.
Bake 20-25 mins until golden brown
Cool about 2 hours. Cut into bars!
